This year, for the first time on 20th August 2011, RCSI ISOC has put a great effort in setting up an ISOC booth at the PMC Pre-Departure Program! The aims of setting this booth are to introduce ISOC to the new PMC students and to inform them about a student body that can help them with their life as oversea students especially to the Muslims.
ISOC members have done a great job setting up the booth! They provided pamphlets regarding the society especially on the RCSI ISOC Mission and Vision; as well as RCSI ISOC events: Charity Week, IAM, Jumaah Prayer and etc. A list of mosques in Dublin, halal food shops, restaurants and also prayer time schedule corresponds to four seasons had been provided.
It was a blast! The respond that they received was amazing!!! Some of the feedbacks include
i) Some parents requested the list of Halal shops/ restaurants
ii) The fresher are interested to know more about ISOC and Muslim life in Dublin
This session has provided ISOC with an insight on what the students really want the society to focus on during their adjustment period and also throughout their studies. Jazakumllahukahiran kaseera to all members who helped during the programme! May the Almighty Allah s.w.t reward their efforts. ^_^
